MEET JASON
Hello, Comanche County!
I am Jason (JD) Davis, and I'm honored to be a candidate for Comanche County Commissioner, Precinct 1.
My wife, Lisa, and I established roots in Comanche in 2020, relocating Crosswind Ranch, our cattle ranch, from Mills County. We were drawn to Comanche because of the community's rich rural heritage coupled with its acceptance of responsible growth. The warm welcome we've received has prompted us to become active in the fabric of Comanche life.
In addition to managing the ranch and our direct-to-consumer beef business, I work as an adjunct professor at Tarleton State University, specializing in business, computer and economics courses. I also provide consulting services for small and mid-sized businesses to help them grow. Lisa is a dyslexia teacher in Comanche ISD and works as a licensed professional counselor providing mental health support to Comanche and neighboring communities. We are proud to invest in our community's youth, offering a scholarship program and vocational training through the ranch.
Improving our roads is a top priority, and I am dedicated to leveraging available resources while seeking additional programs and grants without burdening taxpayers. Decisions of the Commissioners' Court will shape Comanche's future. I look forward to doing that responsibly and collaboratively if elected to serve you.

While I would be grateful for your vote, it's more important to me that you vote, period. The right to vote is a gift that those before us have paid with their lives for us to receive. By voting, we honor the sacrifices of our nation's heroes, past, present and future.

Responsible Growth
Our decision to move the ranch to Comanche was driven by a vision of responsible growth. We are actively engaged in the community, advocating for initiatives that balance development with preserving the unique character that drew us here. As stewards of the land, we believe in sustaining the natural beauty that makes Comanche a unique place to call home. Responsible growth is a balancing act... one our current leaders have navigated well. I want to support these efforts.
Community Support & Education
Comanche's youth are our future and we're committed to making that future bright. Through Crosswind Ranch, we offer educational and on-the-job training to support a generation of hard-working people who are plugged into their community. I want to help Comanche's youth seek opportunities to build a living in their hometown.
Stretching Taxpayer Dollars as far as Possible
My focus in Comanche is to stretch every dollar efficiently and effectively. I will apply this mindset to every decision as your County Commissioner. The total tax burden on Comanche County taxpayers is extreme, and most of it leaves the county. By seeking out federal programs that can improve the quality of life, infrastructure, and economy of Comanche, I aim to bring many of those dollars back to the community.
